'Blue Devils' Win NP Valley Girls' Softball Championship

The NPVGSA Minor's champions beat out the "Transformers" to clinch the title in the 9- to 11-year-old division

June 17, 2011 is a Friday the North Penn Valley Girls Softball Association's minors team, "Blue Devils," will always remember.

It was the day these 9- to 11-year-old girls became champions!

Thanks to the hard work and determination of every team member, as well as brilliant coaching by coach Greg Jerdan and assistants Bruce Gillespie, Doug Beck, Brianna Jerdan and Katelyn Beck, they had an all-around amazing season.

Last night's championship game, held at their home fields on Moyer's Road in Lansdale against the yellow "Transformers" team, was extremely well played by both NPVGSA teams.

The score bounced back and forth throughout the innings, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.  The "Blue Devils" remained on top in the final inning and were thrilled to win the 2011 championship.

Congratulations!
