Original Story:

Members of the community are working to help the Skippack family who lost their home during the Jan. 1 Fort Bevon Road fire, which claimed the life of husband and father George Hobensack.

Former neighbor Ally Zagorski and her family are working to collect clothing, toys and household items from local families and businesses to help the mother and two daughters who have been displaced by the fire.

“They are the kindest, sweetest people in the world, and they would never ask themselves,” said Zagorski.

Still living in Skippack Township, Zagorski is willing to drive anywhere to pick up the items.  Call her at 484-535-0504 or e-mail her at acroke.zagorski@yahoo.com.

The following items are being collected for the family:

  • Clothing for an 18-year old girl and mom (Size 12, large tops, 8.5 in shoes)
  • Clothing for a six-year old girl (Size 6 in kid’s clothes, size 1 in shoes)
  • Toys for a six-year-old girl
  • Household items (towels, sheets, pillows – everything)
