Dads Get A Great Weekend to Relax

For the next several days, rain will not be in the equation as partly cloudy skies and Southern California-like weather moves in

It's about time for sunshine and warm temperatures to arrive in our area. June has actually been below-average when it comes to warmth, but that will change this weekend.

For the next several days, the only event going on in the sky is sun with some passing clouds.

Father's Day weekend will be one of those seemingly rare events in weather because:

1. It is a weekend, which typically can't escape at least one day with miserable weather.

2. It is like a holiday, so any outside activity will be a success and very comfortable.

3. Low humidity and high temperatures around 80 degrees will make it feel like San Diego, CA.

If you are planning on taking a trip to the Jersey Shore, expect mostly sunny skies, but cooler temperatures due to a continuously east-northeast wind blowing in cold air. High temperatures will only reach the low-70s this weekend.

Back to our area, today will be pleasant with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 80 degrees. There will be a nice light breeze from the northeast at 3 to 6 mph.

Tonight will have a starlit sky with a few passing clouds. Temperatures will steadily drop to around 60 degrees by midnight.

The warmest day will be Saturday, as another day of mostly sunny skies create high temperatures to peak in the lower 80s. Expect a light breeze to continue blowing from the northeast.

Saturday night will be mostly clear, calm and cool as temperatures drop into the upper-50s.

Father's Day will be exactly the same with sunny skies, but slightly cooler with high temperatures in the upper-70s.

As for next week, the weather pattern will continue to bring this gorgeous weather for the majority of the week.
