Five Things: St. Stans Penny Auction, Chef Poon and More

Montgomeryville Jiffy Lube employees are one of three service center teams from across the United States competing in Miami, FL today for a $10,000 grand prize at the J-Team All Star Competition, which tests and challenges the skills of Jiffy Lube teams.

 

1. Tonight is the 51st annual St. Stanislaus Church Penny Auction benefitting Mater Dei Catholic School. Doors open at 6 p.m. and auction is at 7:30 p.m. at 493 E. Main St., Lansdale. Tickets are $10 a person, and must be 18 and older to play. The auction is a fundraising event with 20 raffles for prize packages of goods or services donated by local businesses.

2. Play Mexican Train Dominoes at 1 p.m. at Lansdale Library.

3. Chef Joseph Poon will demonstrate his Asian Fusion Cuisine for Culinary Arts students from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at North Montco Technical Career Center, 1265 Sumneytown Pike, Towamencin.

4. From Monday to Wednesday, PennDOT, Montgomery County Health Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and Hatfield Township Police will conduct highway safety programs at North Penn High School called “Survival 101,” designed to educate students about safe driving.
