Five Things to Know Today: May 1
Welcome to May! Summer is right around the corner
1. St. Stanislaus Parish School (Mater Dei Catholic School) will hold a community day today from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with third- and fourth-grade children from St. Rose of Lima in North Wales. Both schools will come together, share a snack and participate in preparing kids’ snack bags for children who eat at soup kitchens.
2. Today is the last day of Montgomery Township Police’s Citizen Police Academy. The academy met once a week and provided community members with an inside look at local law enforcement.
3. The Lansdale Business Association Executive Committee meets at 8 a.m. at the Lansdale Business Center.
4. Knit and Crochet with Judy today at 4:30 p.m. at Lansdale Library. Bring a current project or a skein of yarn and needles to start.
5. Lansdale Borough Council meets at 9 p.m. at borough hall. Borough committees also meet prior to the council meeting, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
