1. Lansdale First Friday is tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. in Lansdale’s downtown district on Main Street. Featured is a Univest Kids' Sprint for ages four to 10 at 7 p.m. in the Kids Zone.
2. Montgomery Mall, 230 Montgomery Mall, Montgomeryville, will be collecting school supplies at Guest Services until Sept. 12. Items will be donated to the mall’s non-profit group, The Giving Tree.
3. There are numerous local high school sporting events today:
- Lansdale Catholic football faces Perkiomen Valley at Perkiomen Valley High School, 509 Gravel Pike, Collegeville, tonight at 7.
- Lansdale Catholic girls’ varsity field hockey versus Upper Moreland at 10 a.m. at Lansdale Catholic High School, 700 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale
- North Penn girls’ varsity and junior varsity soccer versus Lansdale Catholic at 10 a.m. at North Penn High School, 1340 S. Valley Forge Road, Towamencin
- Lansdale Catholic junior varsity girls’ field hockey versus Upper Moreland at 11:30 a.m. at Lansdale Catholic High School
- North Penn boys’ varsity and junior varsity soccer versus Lansdale Catholic at 12 p.m. at North Penn High School
- Christopher Dock girls’ varsity and junior varsity soccer versus Wissahickon at 3:30 p.m. at Wissahickon High School, 521 Houston Road, Ambler
4. The "The Band" Band performs at Sellersville Theater tonight at 8. Tickets are $21.50 and $30.
5. Check out open mic night at Virago Baking Company and Café, 322 1/2 W. Main St., Lansdale, at 7:30 p.m.
