Hearings for Robbery Suspect Continued 60 Days
Ronald Heitz, 20, of Wedgewood Drive, Lansdale, is facing two preliminary hearings for two incidents in Lansdale Borough: a robbery at N. Mitchell and W. Fifth and heroin possession in Fifth Street Park
Two preliminary hearings for Ronald Heitz, 20, of the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive, Lansdale, have been continued Thursday for 60 days by District Judge Harold Borek.
Heitz is facing charges in two separate incidents that occurred in Lansdale.
Heitz was busted with five plastic bags of heroin in a backpack while hanging out with a 15-year-old female in Fifth Street Park on July 5, police said.
On July 16, Heitz was arrested and charged in an alleged strong arm robbery that occured at N. Mitchell Avenue and West Fifth Street.
Heitz is charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in the July 5 incident, police said. A charge of corruption of minors will be added to Heitz's charges at his preliminary hearing, police said.

Heitz is charged with third-degree felony robbery, misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and misdemeanor receiving stolen property in the July 16 incident, police said.

A hearing on all charges will occur October 9 at 1 p.m. before Borek.
Heitz remains incarcerated at Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bail stemming from the robbery incident.
