Man Busted After Four-Month Drug Investigation
Prasad Subramania, 29, of Adams Road, was arrested and sent to prison in lieu of $20,000 cash bail
A 29-year-old Towamencin man was arrested and charged with alleged drug dealing following a four-month investigation by police.
Prasad Miyagi Subramania, 29, of the 200 block of Adams Road, Towamencin, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, receipt in commerce of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children, police said.
Children were living in the home and were reportedly present when transactions were occuring, police said.
Subramania was arraigned before District Judge Pallidino in Pottstown and committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
Charges are pending against a female resident of the home, police said.
Towamencin Police followed up a four-month investigation of reported drug activity at the residence with a search warrant the morning of May 14.
Police said the investigation began in January 2011 and involved information from the public and observations of police officers.
Police seized more than $1,000 in cash, marijuana, items used to package marijuana and records of drug transactions, police said.
