More Than $700 Taken in Lansdale Burglary
Lansdale Police said someone entered an unlocked home on Monticello Place on July 26 and took more than $700 and some change. Police are pursuing leads
Lansdale Police are following up on leads on a residential burglary that occurred the afternoon of July 26 on the 800 block of Monticello Place.
Police said more than $700 in cash and change was taken from the home during the daytime hours.
The homeowner claimed they left the door unlocked due to a scheduled visit from a relative, police said.
The homeowner told police the relative never came to the house that day, police said.
Monticello Place is located off Norway Drive, between East Main Street and Knapp Road.
Call Lansdale Police at (215) 368-1801 with any information.
Police said this is not connected to a recent burglary on Cherry Street in which four shotguns were stolen and another burglary of samurai swords at the Lansdale Business Center.

Oddly enough a year ago my wife and I had roughly $700 stolen from us when we lived in the borough. "It was probably one of your friends." Lansdale Police said when robberies were happening in the poor area of town.
