The baseball team at North Penn is now 8-5 after an 11-0 win over Souderton. The Knights put the game away with a seven-run fourth inning. North Penn also beat Quakertown 6-3, which snapped a four-game losing streak. North Penn is now 8-5.
The North Penn softball team lost to Souderton 2-1 to drop the Maidens’ record in league play to 9-5. North Penn picked up an easy victory earlier in the week by shutting out Quakertown 9-0. The Maidens scored seven times in the fourth inning.
The girls lacrosse team at North Penn remained unbeaten in SOL play. The Maidens rolled past Pennridge 23-4 to raise their overall record to 17-1. Garrie Grenfell had six goals in the victory.
In boys lacrosse, North Penn split a pair of games during the week. The Knights beat Souderton 9-6 before losing to Hatboro-Horsham 10-6.
North Penn is now 11-4 in boys volleyball after falling to Souderton 3-2. The Knights will take on Avon Grove in the first round of the District One AAA Tournament.
At Lansdale Catholic, the baseball team split a pair of games during the week with Archbishop Carroll. The Crusaders fell to Lansdale Catholic 4-2, but bounced back to top Archbishop Carroll 9-5. Lansdale Catholic now sits in a tie for second place in the Philadelphia Catholic League Blue Division.
The Lansdale Catholic softball team did not give up a run in two victories during the week. First came a 2-0 shutout of Archbishop Carroll, followed by a 13-0 rout of Neumann-Goretti. Pitcher Mary Cate Scott allowed only two hits in the victory.
The boys lacrosse team at Lansdale Catholic continues to battle for a playoff spot. The Crusaders lost a hard-fought 14-10 contest to Archbishop Ryan. Lansdale Catholic needs a victory over Archbishop Wood Monday to qualify for the post-season.
