Seth Mumbauer, the Perkasie Borough Police officer who fired the fatal shot at Michael W. Marino June 9 in Sellersville, remains on administrative leave during an internal police department investigation, according to Bob Keeler of The Souderton Independent.
Keeler's article states Mumbauer remains on leave, but Officer Steven Graff and Sgt. James Rothrock have retuned to duty.
Perkasie Borough Police Chief Joseph Gura told Keeler that he could not comment on the findings of Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler because of pending litigation.
He was quoted that he would start an investigation "to see if there's any violation of our general orders" and if discipline is needed against any of the officers.
"After that is done, we will review the incident as a department," he stated in the article.
Gura said in the article that Marino's death was the first shooting of an arrestee in the history of Perkasie police.
