Plymouth Bank Robbery Suspect in Custody
Thirty-year-old Omar Muse, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody on Monday, Oct. 15.
According to a release issued by Plymouth Township Police, the suspect in tow area bank robberies over last weekend is currently in custody in Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
According to police, on Sunday Oct. 14, just before 1 p.m. a male suspect entered the TD Bank at 502 Ridge Pike in the Conshohocken section of Plymouth Township and presented a note to the bank teller demanding money. The suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Omar Muse, of Philadelphia, left on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
Plymouth Police reportedly received numerous tips from the public regarding Muse's identity and with the assistance of Philadelphia Police 22nd District, he was taken into custody on Monday, Oct.15, without incident.
Muse was arraigned before Judge Francis J. Bernhardt in Conshohocken on robbery and theft related charges and is currently in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Bernhardt.
Muse is also believed to be the suspect responsible for the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Bryn Mawr on Friday, Oct. 12. Patch is awaiting confirmation from Lower Merion Police on any charges they may be filing against Muse.
