Police Respond to OD Call in Lansdale Park

Lansdale and Upper Gwynedd police responded to a call of a lost, and possibly overdosed, female in Whites Road Park Tuesday night. She was eventually located in another park.

According to Montgomery County Police radio scanner communication Tuesday night, Lansdale Police received a 9-1-1 call from a mother advising that her daughter is lost and possibly overdosed in Whites Road Park.

Around 9:25 p.m., Lansdale Police responded to the 911 overdose victim at Whites Road Park. It was reported to police the female was possibly walking her dog in the park.

The subject was described as a white female in her 20s from Quail Circle in Hatfield Township, according to Lansdale Police.

She was not found after an extensive search in Whites Road Park. Officers from Upper Gwynedd Township Police and a Plymouth Township canine officer assisted in the search.

Volunteer Medical Services Corp Canine Emergency Search and Rescue Team was also dispatched to the scene.

Lansdale Police put out a call to search in other borough parks. A short time later, a Lansdale Police officer found her sitting in her car with her dog at Stony Creek Park on East Hancock Street, police said.

VMSC responded to the scene to assess the woman, and she was transported to Lansdale Hospital for evaluation, police said.

The woman appeared mildly under the influence, police said.

She later admitted to police to taking painkillers and anti-depressants after an argument with a family member, police said.

A friend was called to take custody of the dog, police said.
