Initial story below.
Members of the North Penn Tactical Response Team along with officers from the Franconia, Souderton, and Telford police departments have cordoned off an area surrounding the 100 block of Station Street in Telford at this hour as authorities attempt to serve what has been described as a "high risk warrant" to an occupant of one of the residences at that location.
The individual sought by authorities was identified on a police radio transmission as Steven Alen Johnson, 31. It was not immediately clear what charges are pending against Johnson, or whether he lived at the Station Street residence.
County radio transmissions indicated that authorities believed Johnson to be on the second floor of the residence. A small dog was also believed to be on the second floor. One officer described "several rabbits and other critters" living on the first floor of the residence.
A resident of an adjacent home who spoke with Patch on the condition of anonymity described objects being projected through two second floor windows of the home at about 8:15 p.m. and said that some type of white or grey colored smoke could subsequently be seen venting from the windows.
A Bearcat armored police vehicle opeated by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department was called to the scene at about 6:30pm.
Unless otherwise specified, all information in this report was collected from Montgomery County Department of Public Safety radio communications.
