RECALL: Peanut Butter Creme Cookies
Newman's Own Organics is recalling their peanut butter creme cookies in connection with the expanded Sunland peanut butter recall.
Newman's Own Organics is recalling a limited number of their Peanut Butter Newman'O's Sandwich Creme Cookies with expiration dates 27MAY13 and 3MAY13 due to possible Salmonella contamination.
This recall is associated with the expanded recall of Sunland peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, Tahini and blanched peanut products for possible Salmonella contamination. There have been 29 reports of Salmonella illnesses reported due to contaminated Sunland nut butters, including at least one in Pennsylvania.
Newman's Own Organics reports that there have been no illnesses reported to date in connection with their Peanut Butter Newman-O's Creme Cookies.

According to the Food and Drug Administration website, these products with the above expiration dates should not be used and should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
