Three Teens Nabbed for Shooting Out Car Windows

Police said five incidents were reported of moving vehicle windows being shot out with BBs

They didn't shoot their eyes out, but these kids instead shot out the windows of five cars.

Were you one of the victims of these three youths' shooting spree?

Towamencin Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old Towamencin youth, a 16-year-old Pennsburg youth and a 15-year-old Ambler youth for shooting out the windows of moving vehicles with a BB-type projectile.

Each juvenile is charged with propulsion of missiles into occupied vehicles, recklessly endangering another person, possessing instruments of crime, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct through Montgomery County Juvenile Court, police said.

Each juvenile was released to the custody of their parents, police said.

Police said five incidents were reported on Jan. 15, between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Jan. 16 at 12:50 p.m., in the area of Welsh and Forty Foot roads, near Wawa, Lowe's and Ralph's Corner.

The passenger side windows of each of the five vehicles were shot out while the vehicles were driven east on Welsh Road from Forty Foot Road, police said.

No one was injured in the incidents, police said.

Police initially responded to the area on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. when two drives reported the incidents.

Police searched the area, but did not find any suspects, police said.

On Jan. 16, another driver reported that their vehicle had also been struck the day before, police said.

Later, two other drivers reported their vehicles were shot at on Jan. 16.

Police continued the investigation, locating several cans containing BB-type pellet holes in the area between Welsh Road and North Bend Court in the Jacob Woods housing development, police said.

Police eventually found a BB-projectile-type weapon in the area of the cans.

Police found a second weapon outside a home in the development, police said.

The weapon was linked to the residence, and an investigation later identified the involved juveniles, police said.
