Enzo East was only three months old when his father ended his life by smashing his head against a bathroom sink, all because the toddler vomited on his father.
Jameel Earthy East, 24, of the 400 block of Lantern Lane, Towamencin, pleaded guilty Friday to third-degree murder and lying to authorities in Montgomery County court, according to Carl Hessler Jr. of the Pottstown Mercury.
East is facing 21 to 42 years in prison, according to the article. Sentencing awaits a background investigative report.
Assistant District Attorney Samantha Cauffman said East struck Enzo’s head against the sink countertop with enough force to cause fatal trauma, according to the article.
“No amount of frustrations or challenging circumstances can excuse smashing a baby’s head against a countertop,” Cauffman is quoted in the article.
