The nominees are just a sampling of bars in our area. If you have a different vote, add your selection in the comments. We will choose a winner based on the number of comments for a particular place.

As you can see in the story:

Leave your vote in the comments. And, if there’s a fantastic bar with the area’s best Happy Hour that we’ve missed, add it in the comments as your vote, and we’ll count it.

Love ya Tony, but that's a bit of a cop out. If you're gonna do this, you need to list every bar or restaurant that has a Happy Hour in a 10 mile radius to make this non-biased solely towards the listed bars. You then take the votes from the entire list, take the bars that receive the top 30% of the votes and have the official vote based on that. That's the only fair way to assess the "best". Unless of course the bars you listed are paying Patch for advertising space, in which case, forget everything I said. But you can't simply list the bars you frequent and expect to get a fair assessment of which is the best.

The only way to count votes for this contest is to count the number of comments for a specific place. The other way of voting through clicking buttons for your favorite didn't work too well. So, why haven't you left a comment for your favorite place?

Plus, the contest is strictly for bars in the North Penn region. Other bars will have to be under neighboring Patches.

But there are multiple bars left off the list giving the ones listed more clout. Saying to name bars left off is a cop out. More research needed to be done and a complete list should be compiled. These are not votes by me, but these are a number of the forgotten: Tex Mex, North Wales Pub, Casey's, Hattricks, Stadium North, The Bull, Panico's, Via Marconi's, Bones, 3rd & Walnut, the Junction House, Dirty Jerzees, The Sumney, McKeever's, The Hatfield Hotel. Now these were simply off of the top of my head. There are certainly ones I forgot, but with a little research, I would finish the list. Just saying.
