The Montgomery County Bar Association’s annual young vs. old softball game on Tuesday ended with the young attorneys edging out the older, 8-5.

Organizer, Craig Fox, of Fox and Fox Attorneys at Law said the softball is a relaxed atmosphere and a way for the lawyers and judges from across the county for get to know one another outside of robes and ties.

The game has been played for well over 50 years and all lawyers and judges, as well as their families, are invited to come out and play, or just be a spectator, and spend time with their professional peers and network.

Fox said the game helps promote camaraderie and professionalism between lawyers and judges.

"Promote camaraderie and professionalism between lawyers and judges." What a great idea. We should promote camaraderie between everybody! Pro athletes and officails. Hunters and deer. Me and my mechanic. Cops and robbers. Mitt and barack. Of course everyone I mentioned has ethics and moral compasses unimaginable to the average bench warming shark. I wish I knew about it before the event occurred. It would have been quite comical watching these nerds bumble about, running the wrong direction and battling it out like the womens east asian olympic badimition teams.

Looks like they found a fine field to play on.

If judges are getting greased you'd think lawyers would have gotten a little nicer field. Mabey they blew the budget on food. What low rent operation for a low rent crowd.
