A Sellersville picture is worth how many words?

The most common question I get from patrons of the Museum is, "What do you know about _______?".  That blank is filled with a variety of people, places and things.

Sometimes, I can give an answer.  When I can not, I tell them I will found out and let them know.

Many people are happy with that answer and know we will do our best to dig up the info, ( we love you) some people are not.  (You know who you are.)

This morning I posted a picture on the Museum's Facebook page.  A nice postcard image from the early 1900's.   Within a few minutes someone asked for names and I was unable to provide any information on the people in the picture.

I will work on getting the information.  This process may take years and we constantly are getting new little projects to work on.   (As I write, there are about 60+ slides in an envelope I need to convert to jpegs and then find answers on those too.)

In April, the Museum will feature photos taken in the Borough past and present.

I invite any and all photographers to get in touch to take part in our 275th Anniversary Photo Exhibit.  The photos are to be taken in Sellersville Borough and we are looking to cover the area. Please if you get people ... get the names of the people so we can figure out who these people are in 50 years!

You can reach me brox@sellersvillemuseum.org or through facebook.com/sellersvillemuseum

The April Exhibit will extend to Sellersville mailing addresses too. :) Which makes it even better!
