IN THE MIX-DJ ALi's Story

Drop the beat, Scratch up the 2nd track, blend it, fade it, record it. Sounds easy... when I write it that way. I recorded a new mix tonight for an audition at a couple well known city clubs. I am reaching out to new spots, showing others what I can do.

In the last week, I think I showed my fans, listeners and followers that I am a serious DJ, full of passion and creativity. I started this blog last Sunday, have been promoting the blog and my DJin, networking with other DJ's, recording, booking and mixing. It's been busy, for sure.

Good News...I'm hitting the road. I spoke with DJ Prince the Pro from Long Island and will be djin with him in New York this summer. I will also be joining his online radio station, coming very soon! This gives me hope that BIG things are definitely coming in 2013 for DJ ALi. I am also thinking of booking Harrisburg and Baltimore, in addition to all the Philly area gigs.

I don't know if booking gigs has got easier or if I am becoming more positive but it seems like there are so... many opportunities, I could be a part of. I know networking with other DJ's really helps, the support of your friends behind you. Today's blog title, "In the Mix" means that not only am I always mixing but I do have to be in the mix of DJ's to go forward. We need to help each other. I am glad to know a network of DJ's I can learn from and teach what I know. I am going forward, in the mix. Stay tuned for what is next is DJ ALi's story.
