Elderberry (Sambucus) – Herb of the Year 2013

Herbal workshop/hands on program

We will be learning all about elderberry and making and tasting elderflower tea, along with elderberry muffins. Diane will show us how to make elderberry syrup that is great for colds and coughs, as well as an elderberry tincture. If you want to take home syrup and tincture e-mail me and let me know by November 1st. cheryl@flowersonlocation.com Materials $7 - $9 per person.

Diane Schaefer has been studying medicinal plants for 11 years. She attended the Macrobiotic Summer conference for many years, studying with David Brisco and cooking teacher Christina Perillo. She's an active member of the Pennypack Farm medicinal herb group, and is very interested in natural approaches to healing using plants. Join us for a fun, educational evening. Guests are invited, but if they want to participate they must RSVP so we can plan accordingly for materials.
