Advanced Living Communities is a non-profit, Christian organization that provides seniors in the community with affordable housing and services; residents pay a monthly rent that is based on their income.

Advanced Living Communities operates three residential retirement communities for seniors who are at least 62 years old. Schwenckfeld Manor, which features one-bedroom apartments and studio apartments; Schwenckfeld Terrace, which features one-bedroom apartments and Derstine Run, which one-bedroom apartments. All communities are equipped with emergency alarm systems, are pet friendly and are non-smoking.

Advanced Living Communities also provides its residents with a variety of amenities like a library, common rooms, wellness center, fitness center, beauty and barber shop, computer room and transportation along with activities and programs like bingo, picnics, exercise classes and other social activities.

Lastly, Advanced Living Communities offers a selection of services to residents and seniors in the area including an adult day service center that offers health and social services, a home care agency that offers health care services and transitional housing.
