Black ants in the house in the winter?!

Anyone having finding large black (probably carpenter ants) in their home? I'm so surprised I'm finding them in the 2nd floor bedrooms & bathrooms. In the dead of winter! Anyone have any tips to get rid of them? Pretty please 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜
