Corpus Christi Scouts Help Manna on Main Street through Scouting for Food

Annual Scout food collection replenishes Manna pantry

Over 50 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, adult leaders, and parents from Pack 303 and Troop 303, sponsored by Corpus Christi Parish, collected a truckload of donated food from the Upper Gwynedd community on Saturday, November 16, 2013.  After sorting the donations, the Scouts delivered it to a grateful Manna on Main Street (www.mannaonmain.org).  At Manna, the Scouts joined other youth volunteers from local schools in unloading the donations, checking expiration dates and helping to store the community’s generosity in the pantry.  Boys interested in the fun and community service offered by Scouting can contact Committee Chair Joe Rakszawski at joerak@aol.com or 610-213-6067, to learn how to ”Be A Scout” (https://beascout.scouting.org/).  To help Manna on Main Street achieve its mission “That all may be fed”, please contact Anthony Tarzia, Manna’s Volunteer and Community Outreach Associate, at Anthony@mannaonmain.org, or 215-855-5454.
