The fanciful hero of Irish legend takes the stage of the Ambler Theatre for performances on Saturday, March 15 and Monday, March 17. Family Stages, in the great tradition of the seanachie, the classic Irish story tellers, brings The Legend of Finn McCool to life! Audiences meet the richly imagined characters so familiar to Irish children. Finn, a doer of great deeds, learns wisdom from the Salmon of Knowledge. He rids the land of the grumpy giant Cuchulain. He saves King Cormac’s Castle Tara from the sneaky goblin Aillen. Finn’s story is told with vim and vigor and more than a touch of Irish wit, capturing the energy and artistry of Celtic folklore. This imaginative, fun-filled one hour production is sure to delight family audiences from age three and up.
Performances of The Legend of Finn McCool are set for Saturday, March 15 at 11:00 AM and St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17 at 10:00 AM.
