Blue Bell Man Charged With Illegally Carrying Concealed Gun

Patrick Gleeson, 26, of Whitpain, was charged by Towamencin Township Police after being stopped in the area of Bustard and Adams roads Tuesday night

A Whitpain man was arrested by Towamencin Township Police for illegally carrying a concealed firearm in the area of Bustard and Adams roads on October 16.

Patrick Timothy Gleeson, 26, of the 1600 block of North Wales Road, Blue Bell, Whitpain Township, was found walking at around 10:41 p.m. in dark clothing, police said.

An officer saw Gleeson cross the roadway, and was unsure by Gleeson’s actions whether or not he was trying to flag down the officer, police said.

Gleeson appeared intoxicated and was found in possession of a concealed Ruger 9mm handgun, police said. Gleeson does not possess a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm, police said.

Gleeson was taken into custody and charged with firearms not to be carried without a license and public drunkenness, police said.

Gleeson was arraigned before District Judge Harold Borek in Lansdale and released on $15,000 unsecured bail, police said.

He wouldnt be in this predicament if he only carried the gun without hiding it under his shirt. Open carry without a permit or license is legal in PA.

Hey Otis, The guy was drunk and illegally carrying a gun and you hope he beats it? That kind of thinking is not only ignorant, it's dangerous. You should be glad the Officer did make a stop and check him out...he may have saved your sorry butt from being a victim. Take your head out of your rear end, "Dude".
