Damaged Red Volvo Sought in Lansdale Hit-and-Run

A pedestrian was hit by a red Volvo at N. Broad Street and Second Street in Lansdale. The car has windshield and hood damage, police said

If you know of a red Vovlo with windshield and hood damage, then it is suggested you contact Lansdale Police — as it's the make of vehicle in Friday evening's hit-and-run in Lansdale.

For the third time since March, a pedestrian was hit at Second Street and North Broad Street in the borough.

At around 6 p.m. Friday, a 40-year-old man from Franklin Street in Lansdale was crossing North Broad Street east from Second Street, when he was hit by a red Volvo in the yellow dividing lines, police said.

The car was south on Broad Street, police said.

Witnesses told police the Volvo failed to stop after hitting the pedestrian, and continued on Broad Street. The car possibly turned left onto East Main Street, police said.

Police said the pedestrian was thrown up on the hood and possibly the front windshield of the car. He was taken by Volunteer Medical Service Corps to Abington Health - Lansdale, where he was treated for ankle injuries and released, police said.

Call Lansdale Police at 215-368-1801 or email an anonymous email to Crimetips@lansdalepd.org with any information on the accident.

It wasn't he who was hit two other times, it was two other incidents since March. Leaving dumb comments like that only makes you look dumb. Clearly, there is an issue at this corner that needs to be addressed. I hope the Volvo is found and the person punished to the full extent of the Law, and I wish the man who was hit the best!
