SEPTA presented its plans for a new 667-space parking garage and pedestrian bridge at the Lansdale Station during a meeting Wednesday.

SEPTA officials say the new garage is needed because demand for parking at the station, the most frequently used on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line, is on the rise.
The 590 parking spots at the Lansdale Station are fully utilized on many weekdays, SEPTA said and there are multiple developments planned that will only increase ridership. By 2019, SEPTA estimates that each day an average of 1,571 people will board trains from Lansdale.
The new parking garage will increase spots at the station to 899, with 667 of them inside the structure.
