2. There's a bunch of North Penn events going on today:

  • Today ends the First Marking Period for secondary North Penn schools
  • Walton Farm Elementary holds a cyber bullying presentation for grades 4 to 6 at 1:15 p.m.
  • A.M. Kulp begins its clothing drive this week
  • The North Penn School Board Education/Community/Policy Committee Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Educational Services Center in Lansdale.

3. Short-term lane closures will be in place this week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Route 202 between Hancock Road and Route 611 for work related to the Route 202 Parkway.

  • Route 309 will have short-term lane restrictions between Five Points and Route 63 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday.
  • Periodic lane closures will occur through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Upper State Road between Route 309 and Route 202

4. Today starts the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce’s “The Essentials of Human Resource Management Course” from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The course repeats for five Mondays through Dec. 10. It is delivered by Villanova University at the chamber offices on Susquehanna Avenue in Lansdale. The cost is $475. Find out more at www.continuingstudies.villanova.edu.

5. The North Penn Sahaja Meditation Center holds an open meditation session from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 408 W. Main St., Lansdale
