1. Montgomery Mall holds an electronics collection event today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot between Sears and Dick’s Sporting Goods on America Recycles Day. Automotive tires will also be accepted for recycling.

The following items will be accepted for recycling today: TVs, CPUs, monitors, laptops, printers, scanners, fax machines, keyboards, mice, speakers, copiers, VCRs, DVD players, portable music players, digital converter boxes, cable/satellite receivers, CD players, telephones, cell phones, video game consoles, digital cameras, PDAs, calculators, stereo and radio equipment, electric typewriters, microwaves, toasters, irons, blenders, mixers, coffeemakers, vacuums and other small household appliances.

DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING: Household hazardous waste, explosives, ordnance material, infectious biologically-active wastes, asbestos, radioactive material, alkaline batteries, household appliances like refrigerators and ovens, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, smoke detectors and latex paint.

2. Free blood pressure screening tonight at 9:30 at 624 E. Main St., Lansdale.

3. A PennSuburban Chamber women’s network luncheon takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn – Lansdale on Sumneytown Pike in Towamencin. Guest speaker is Jean Curtis, owner of Merle Norman in Skippack. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of small gifts that children can pick out for their mothers, as a support for nonprofit Laurel House.
