Lansdale American Association of University Women hosts an educational presentation on Octavius Catto and his Tireless Fight for Civil Rights at 7 p.m. at the Educational Services Center in Lansdale. A learned man, Octavius V. Catto was linked to virtually every important black movement and the inner circle of Radical Republicans of his time in the 19th Century.  Catto's insistence on equality for all men has been categorized as "fanatical."

3. After a long weekend, it’s back to school for North Penn students today.

The Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce’s TEAMS Women’s Networking Group meets at Franconia Heritage Banquet and Conference Center, 508 Harleysville Pike, Franconia, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the “Engaging Your Customers Through Social Media” presentation by Betsy Roush, of Roush Associates, LLC. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
