Hatfield Family Displaced by Fire Thankful for Donations

A fire on Thursday morning broke out at 827 Forty Foot Road on the second floor, destroying most of what was owned by a family of four, including two young boys.

The family who lost many things in a second-floor house fire at 827 Forty Foot Road in Hatfield Township Thursday morning has thanked the community for its donations.
Lisa Neal, a member of the displaced family, took to Lansdale Patch Facebook to  speak on behalf of the victims.
"At this time, the family devastated by the fire that broke out at 827 Forty Foot Road on Thursday morning would like me to post something to say how very THANKFUL they are for all the donations received for them. They would like very much to send heartfelt Thank You cards to everyone that helped out in their time of need with clothing, small appliances, bedding, toys, money and gift card donations for them."
Neal is asking donors to inbox her their addresses in order to pass on the information to the family.
Neal said the family is still in need of gift cards to local stores to buy household items lost in the fire. The items will be put to use when they move into an apartment until their home is rebuilt for occupancy, Neal said.
"Thank you again, but no more clothing is needed at this time as they are completely overwhelmed with them and would ask that you think of other families that may have had a fire or need them at this time," she wrote on Facebook.
