Hatfield's Maple Ave. Bridge Closing Monday

The bridge is being replaced after identified as in need of repair by PennDOT inspectors

Drivers who use Maple Avenue in Hatfield daily will be detouring on E. Vine Street or Unionville Pike from Monday, Oct. 8 through New Year's Day.

Construction will begin Oct. 8 on the Maple Avenue Bridge, which was identified  by PennDOT inspectors as in need of repair, according to an announcement from Hatfield Township.

Either detour will take drivers to School Road in order to navigate the construction.

A posted detour route will direct drivers around the construction.

According to the township, positive weather conditions and quick turnaroun on beam fabrication could push the completion date forward.
