Hazmat Responds to Lansdale Police for Suspicious Letter

A woman brought a letter she received at her home to Lansdale Police Saturday afternoon, which was determined to be cornstarch

The Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Team responded to Lansdale Police Department shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday to inspect a suspicous letter brought there by a Lansdale woman.

Police said the woman received the Philadelphia-postmarked letter in the mail. The letter was addressed to a man, police said.

The letter was determined by county HAZMAT to have cornstarch in it, police said.

The woman brought the letter to Lansdale Police due to safety concerns.

Police said the woman has had an ongoing issue with someone she knows and the letter could be connected to this issue.
