Hazmat Responds to Lansdale Police for Suspicious Letter

A woman brought a letter she received at her home to Lansdale Police Saturday afternoon, which was determined to be cornstarch

The Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Team responded to Lansdale Police Department shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday to inspect a suspicous letter brought there by a Lansdale woman.

Police said the woman received the Philadelphia-postmarked letter in the mail. The letter was addressed to a man, police said.

The letter was determined by county HAZMAT to have cornstarch in it, police said.
