'Hunger Games' Themed Camp Planned for July

Lansdale's Wilderness Games camp will be held July 14 through 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Stony Creek Park.

Lansdale Parks and Recreation is giving local kids the chance to enjoy their own version of The Hunger Games.

The week-long camp, called The Wilderness Games, will give children ages 10 to 14 the chance to learn various aspects of outdoor survival, including building shelters, navigating, using essential gear and more.

It will be held July 14 through 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Stony Creek Park.

“The Wilderness Games are about to begin and you have been chosen as the tribute to represent your District,” the flyer posted to Lansdale’s website reads. “If you enjoyed The Hunger Games series then you will definitely enjoy this camp.”

The cost for residents to participate is $115. Non-residents pay $125.
