Manna Receives $3,000 Grant from Bottom Dollar Food

The Lansdale food pantry and soup kitchen applied for a grant from the Food Lion Charitable Foundation. Food Lion and Bottom Dollar Food are owned by Delhaize America

Manna on Main Street added $3,000 more to its coffers Friday afternoon, thanks to a grant from the Food Lion Charitable Foundation.

The check was presented to Manna's Development Officer Kristyn Didominick at Bottom Dollar Food in Montgomeryville.

"We applied for a grant through the Food Lion Charitable Foundation to purchase food for our pantry," Didominick said. "A lot of families we serve need fresh vegetables and fruits throughout the year."

Egolf said Bottom Dollar Food donates many items, both perishable and non-perishable, to Manna on Main Street.

"It's great. We are fortunate to be where we are," he said. "It's a great thing."

"A lot of people that Manna provides food for at the food bank shop here. It's all going to our local customers," said front end manager Meghan Barnes.
