Where/When: Montgomery Bar Association, 100 W. Airy St., Norristown; every weekday through Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go: The Montgomery Bar Association’s Women in the Law Committee are sponsoring a drive to collect school supplies for children in foster care in Montgomery County. Drop off new supplies and book bags any time during office hours.

Where/When: Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown; Aug. 4, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Why go: The Kids’ Fair Expo, hosted by Sen. Daylin Leach, and Reps. Matt Bradford and Mike Vereb, will feature spin art, face painting, food, fingerprinting, and more, all free! R.S.V.P. is required, and space is limited.

Where/When: Montgomery Township Gazebo, 1001 Stump Road, Montgomeryville; Aug. 4, 7 to 8:15 p.m.
Why go: Flower Power plays an extensive selection of hits and lesser-known gems from the '60s and '70s. Come early at 6 p.m., and BYO picnic dinner.

Where/When: The Stoogeum, 904 Sheble Lane, Ambler; Aug. 6, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go: The word’s only museum of Three Stooges memorabilia doesn’t have regular operating hours, but has an open house about once a month to give you a chance to see the museum’s almost 100,000 pieces.
Pricing: Free admission, but donations are appreciated

Where/When: Montco SAAC, 536 George St., Norristown; Aug. 6, noon to 3:30 p.m.
Why go: This bingo is beach-themed! Wear your sun hats, 1900s swimwear (please no bikinis or Speedos). Proceeds benefit Senior Adult Activities Center, a private, nonprofit organization.
Pricing: $20 in advance, $25 at the door
