Northeast Extension to Close For Six Hours Sunday

Just the northbound portion of the road will be closed for six hours overnight between exit 31 and 44.

Thirteen miles of the northbound Northeast Extension between Lansdale and Quakertown will be closed overnight Sunday so crews can install bridge beams.

Just the northbound portion of the road will be closed for six hours between exit 31 and 44, according to information from Towamencin Township Police.

At 8 p.m. Saturday,  the northbound right lane will be closed. The southbound left lane will close at 10 p.m. between milepost A39-A35, police said.

Starting at midnight, northbound traffic will be diverted off at the Lansdale interchange. 

The road will reopen by 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
