Police Seeking Suspect in Towamencin Burglary

The suspect in the daytime burglary of a home on Liberty Bell Drive is described as a black male wearing a white hoodie

are investigating the burglary of a home on the 1500 block of Liberty Bell Drive on August 23 at 1:40 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a medium to heavyset build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, police said.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a gray or tan-colored, older-model Lincoln or Mercury with two-tone painted or landau-styled roof, police said.

A similar vehicle and suspect was described in a Friday morning breaking and entering incident at 921 Patriot Drive in Upper Gwynedd. A connection to the two burglaries has not been confirmed.

A neighbor observed the Towamencin August 23 burglary and contacted police, police said.

Access was made by force in the rear of the home, police said. Reported taken was an undetermined amount of jewelry and two pillowcases, police said.

The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

Police said the suspect parked in the driveway of the home and went through a side yard gate to the rear of the home.
