$7.4M Northeast Extension Resurfacing Project Begins This Week

A project to resurface more than eight miles of the Northeast Extension is expected to be completed in November.

A $7.4 million resurfacing project on more than eight miles of the Northeast Extension begins this week, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced.

Drivers should be prepared for traffic restrictions and reduced speeds during the duration of the project, which is expected to wrap up in November.

Contractors will resurface I-476 between the Lansdale (Exit #31) and Quakertown (Exit #44) exits.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc. will complete the project in sections, establishing separate construction zones north of Lansdale to Quakertown, according to the Turnpike Commission.

This project is completely funded by toll dollars.
