Route 202 Parkway Bridge Named After Former Police Chief

Chief Richard J. Brady Bridge was dedicated Friday morning at a ceremony on the Route 202 Parkway, featuring state Reps. Kate Harper and Todd Stephens, and state Sen. Stewart Greenleaf

It’s going to be the only time Richard Brady is OK with being runover.

The former Montgomery Township Police Chief is now forever a part of the Route 202 Parkway — at least in name and honor.

State Sen. Stewart Greenleaf, State Rep. Kate Harper and State Rep. Todd Stephens unveiled a sign Friday morning designating the Route 202 Parkway bridge over Route 309 as “Chief Richard J. Brady Bridge.”

According to The Reporter’s Bradley Schlegel, Brady was at a loss for words at the ceremony.

In his speech, Brady said it was a “great honor” and that few people get to see this kind of honor “while they are still alive,” according to the article.
