Towamencin Pool Reopens After Vandalism

The Towamencin pool was closed for two days due to vandalism.

The Towamencin pool reopened Tuesday after being closed for two days due to vandalism. The pool opened at noon, according to the township's Facebook page.

The township had to drain the pools after someone threw broken glass into the water. Police are investigating the incident, which happened late Saturday or early Sunday. Broken glass was thrown into both swimming pools along with a traffic cone and reflector, police said.

The total cost of the damage caused by the cleanup, repairs and loss of use is still being determined, police said.
