Merck Cutting 600 Jobs at Lansdale and North Wales Offices

A Merck spokeswoman told the Wall Street Journal that the layoffs involve sales reps that work throughout the country.

Merck will be cutting 600 jobs in Montgomery County, according to recent reports.

The company said it plans to layoff sales representatives based in North Wales and Lansdale, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Wall Street Journal reported the layoffs are part of an ongoing effort by the pharmaceutical company to reorganize and cut costs. The jobs will be cut by the end of August, according to the Wall Street Journal.
