Montgomeryville Friendly's Closes Its Doors

The restaurant at Airport Square Shopping Center shuttered its doors Sunday afternoon, after its lease wasn't renewed. Bonefish Grill will open in the next few months

The Friendly’s at Airport Square Shopping Center on Route 309 in Montgomeryville has closed its doors for good Sunday afternoon, making way for Bonefish Grill to open at the location in the next few months.

Mike Goldberg of The Reporter writes that a work crew was hauling out kitchen equipment, booths and more to a moving truck.

The franchise owner, Jeff Blum, of AKZ Delaware Valley Hospitality Inc., told Goldberg the owner of the property — Gateway DC Properties Inc., under Metro Commercial of Mount Laurel, NJ — opted not to renew the lease.
