New Hilltown Bottom Dollar Giving Free Groceries to First 200

The new Bottom Dollar Food at Souderton Square at County Line Road and Route 113 will bring 40 new jobs to the Hilltown area.

Souderton Square Shopping Center at County Line Road and Route 113 in Hilltown Township is getting a top money-saving food chain Thursday morning—and customers can get free food.

Bottom Dollar Food is opening its new spot at 703 Route 113 at 8 a.m. Thursday. To celebrate, Bottom Dollar is giving the first 200 customers a free reusable Bottom Dollar shopping bag filled with groceries. All other customers throughout the day will get a free reusable bag.

The new Bottom Dollar will also bring about 40 jobs to Hilltown.

“Bottom Dollar Food looks forward to joining the Souderton community as we open the doors of our new store this Thursday,” said Bottom Dollar Food President Meg Ham in a press release. “We invite residents in the surrounding area to come out and experience Bottom Dollar Food’s unbelievable prices on fresh produce, quality meats, private brands and the national brands that matter most to customers.”

A ribbon cutting will occur at 8 a.m., featuring several local dignitaries.

At the grand opening, the Hilltown Bottom Dollar Food will donate $1,600 to Philabundance Food Bank for the store's "Fresh for All" campaign. Bottom Dollar provides fresh fruits and vegetables to needy individuals and families through its campaign.

Bottom Dollar also has a "We Won't Beat It" guarantee: the store will beat any competitor's price by a penny. The store will also give full refunds to customers unsatisfied with meat or produce purchases. Bottom Dollar Food also offers a double-money-back guarantee on all private brand products.

The store is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.  

Bottom Dollar Food operates 58 stores in New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Each store is approximately 18,000 square feet.
