Pedaller Bike Shop Move 'Not Finalized'

Pedaller Bike Shop owner Brett Hendricks said the business is still working out the details in a potential move from The Pavilion in Lansdale

With , The Pavilion is headed toward a second revival of retail businesses.

It was reported by property owner Joe Grasso that East Norriton’s Corropolese Bakery and Deli is set to fill the space currently occupied by Pedaller Bike Shop. Grasso is quoted as saying that Pedaller will remain at or leave the shopping center.

There’s also another option, according to owner Brett Hendricks: Stay right where they are.

“(A move) is not finalized,” said Hendricks.

He said there are three options on the table: Stay, move to another shopping area or relocate to another storefront at The Pavilion.

“We are still working out the details,” Hendricks said.

Pedaller Bike Shop has been a staple of Lansdale since 1972. It was formerly located next to Bee Jay Carpets on West Main Street, before the development of the Turbo Lofts.

The family business relocated to The Pavilion in 1999, Hendricks said.

Hendricks took over Pedaller Bike Shop in 1993. Two women had owned the business prior, he said.

The option to move to another location or relocate within The Pavilion was “not necessarily” reflective of the biking industry or economy, Hendricks said.

Grasso also noted in The Reporter article that there are two other businesses poised to open at The Pavilion: a microbrewery and Monkey Joe's, a party and inflatable play center.

Pedallar Bike Shop is located at 541 S. Broad St., Lansdale. Contact them at 215-361-2909 or at www.pedbike.net
