Yuengling Offers FREE BEER TODAY

Be at a participating Philadelphia establishment at 6:30 tonight and you get a free bottle of America's oldest lager with which to join the Philly-wide toast.

Okay, so maybe it's not traditional "breaking news," but we thought that on a Friday afternoon, you'd appreciate learning about the opportunity to grab a free cold one on your way home.

In celebration of "being named the largest American-owned brewery," Yuengling, the pride of Pottsville, PA, is raising a glass with the city of Philadelphia tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The promotion, "Here's to You, Philly," guarantees one free bottle of the cold stuff to anyone at a participating location in the City of Brotherly Love.

Want to know where to get yours? Click here for a list of establishments that are participating in the toast. Several of Montgomery County's more popular watering holes are on the list.

Cheers, Patch readers!

Tiny, Yuengling started in 1829 and Schaefer started in 1842 and Schaefer is brewed by Pabst, end of story.
