There are many key phrases in a property description that can attract potential home buyers to a certain home.  Being descriptive and using the right keywords can convince buyers to take a deeper look into your home.  You don't necessarily want to list every single feature within your home, leaving some mystery will force buyers to want to know and see more.  Some of these descriptive phrases to include in your home's property detail are:

  • Lot Descriptions: Premium lot, Cul-de-sac, level lot, overlooking..., backing to, secluded, privacy, gated, scenic views
  • Neighborhoods/School Districts: Buyers typically love a sense of community, so added neighborhood names or good school districts can be really positive.
  • Location: Convenient to shopping, restaurants, highways, schools, major corporations
  • Custom Features & Styles: Built-in, crown molding, walk-in, Artisan, French, Modern, Country, Contemporary
  • "Green" features: Energy efficient, replacement windows, solar panels, newer hvac
