Five Things to Know Today: January 26

WinterBlast comes to Montgomery Mall today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

1. WinterBlast comes to Montgomery Mall today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a multi-municipal event, featuring ventriloquist Linda Holliday, magician Kurt Brasch, storyteller Michelle Miller, Fitzpatrick’s School of Irish Dance, a fashion show, Yang’s Martial Arts, science explorers, hula dancers, balloon artists, face painters, airbrush tattoos and crafts.

2. The 1st Annual Knights For Life Beef and Beer is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Ukranian Catholic Church on Allentown Road in Towamencin. There are a limited amount of tickets for sale at the door for $30. Beer and wine is included, and there will be a mixed drink cash bar. 

3. There’s a trivia night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society at 7 p.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church and School, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Cost is $50 and includes hot buffet dinner, dessert and donation. BYOB. Competition in tables of eight to 10 people.

4. A comedy night benefitting North Penn Cheerleading with Jimmy Carroll and John Ager is at 8 p.m. at . Tickets are $20.

5. The Pearl S. Buck Writing Center presents a 12-month course “Write a Novel in a Year,” which begins today from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Pearl S.
